HEAD COACH: Franklin Deloach
Franklin DeLoach has coached 23 seasons as head softball coach at East Coweta High School. During his tenure as the head softball coach Franklin DeLoach has coached the Lady Indians to 18 State Finals in Columbus, 18 region championships, and twenty-three trips to the state playoffs. In 2008,2021,2022, and 2023 the Lady Indians were the State Runner-Up in the state’s highest classification. In 2015, the Lady Indians finished third in the state. In 2009, 2012 and 2016 the Lady Indians finished in the Final Four. In 2017, the Lady Indians won the AAAAAAA State Championship by going an unprecedented 36-0. In 2018, the Lady Indians went 32-2 and won the state’s highest classification becoming back-to-back state champions. In 2020, the Lady Indians won their third state championship in the state’s largest classification going 36-2. Before coming to East Coweta, Coach DeLoach was the head softball coach at Creekside High School for two years. Coach DeLoach’s over all softball coaching record is 658-160. Coach DeLoach is also the head baseball coach at East Coweta. Coach Franklin DeLoach was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in December 2021.
Coach DeLoach graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1992. At Jonesboro, he played baseball, basketball and cross-country. Coach DeLoach holds an Associates Degree from Truett-McConnell College, Bachelor and Masters Degree from the University of West Georgia and played four years of college baseball. In 2009, Franklin DeLoach earned his Ed. S degree from Georgia College and State University.
Coach Franklin DeLoach is married to the former Fonda Futo. The DeLoach’s are proud parents to Sarah who is 23 years old and a graduate from Elon University, Ava who is 17 years old who attends East Coweta High School, Layla who is 14 years old and attends East Coweta Middle School. Ella Kate is 13 years old and also attends East Coweta Middle School.
